Mette Fruergaard-Jensen studied pottery at Art & Craft school in Copenhagen. After many years in pottery, she now makes boxes etc, using natural materials such as wood, copper, aluminium, Perspex, amber, bone & horn…"I don't pay much attention to what it would be used for, I make it for looks and appearance". Most materials are re-cycled & found on the beach, woodpile or scrapyard - she is constantly seeking the interface between raw/fine, rough cut/polished.
